Cafe Kabul, located just outside and to the left of Nichada's main gate, serves an array of different cuisines from Indian and Afghani cultures, creating a unique blend of flavors that are seldom found elsewhere. From 11:30 am to 9:00 pm, Cafe Kabul caters to the palettes of vegetarians, halal eaters, or just locals looking for a rich and tasty meal. Khun Shawn originally opened his business as a carpet shop, selling carpets with signature Arabic design patterns. In 2016, he expanded his business to the restaurant, and it has been a staple in the Nichada community since. Both at his restaurant and at ISB sporting events vending food, Cafe Kabul has been supported by the local Nichada community. Although the location of his shop attracts customers from the expat Nichada community, keeping a low employee turnover, and having consistent employment, has been a difficulty due to the restaurant being located outside of Nichada.
